Chronox

Chronox is a large-scale device with which to escape the motion of time, an earnest attempt to build a time machine. The work utilises utopian architecture, heavy sonic repetition and phasing visual synchronicity to distort temporal perception. As such, the work meditates on the shared qualities of nostalgia and utopia, by coaxing an audience outside of chronological flow, out of their own time and place, into a space where time ceases to move forwards.
