Jane Reiseger is an illustrator living on the coast near Melbourne. Utilising her love of textas and pens, Jane creates semi-abstract images and playful line works. She draws inspiration from much of her surroundings, as well her two year old son.
Jane studied art at the Victorian College of Arts majoring in painting. She started out her working career as an illustrator while working in retail, drawing on tables and displays for products. Giving her a platform for her work to be seen, customers and designers started approaching her with small briefs, including transferring her illustrations to bedroom walls. One of these bedroom wall commissions, for a set of twins, was photographed in Vogue Living and after that illustration work started rolling in.
Her biggest and most rewarding achievement as an illustrator was being commissioned for a year to work on illustrations for the New Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
