Lamington Drive is pleased to present Colours of Pixar: Celebrating the Colours and Characters of PixarStep into the colourful world of Pixar.
From the creative minds of seven Australian artists, discover a stunning exhibition celebrating iconic Pixar films bursting with colour and beloved characters.
Exclusive to Melbourne - for a limited time only!Since the arrival of Toy Story in 1995, Pixar has created unforgettable new worlds awash with colour and populated with iconic characters. These stories have not only created indelible memories in all that watch, but often they’ve helped to shape us emotionally as well. Whether it’s relating to Riley (Inside Out, 2015) and her influx of new feelings and emotions, or seeing a bit of ourselves in Joe (Soul, 2020) as he grapples with his purpose and passion, it’s impossible not to be impacted. For our exhibition, we invited seven local artists to express the emotion they felt from their favourite Pixar film – including classics like Toy Story and Monsters Inc through to newer favourites such as Wall-E and Inside Out. Through their colourful lens we can explore the spectrum of emotions that can be communicated with the stroke of a brush or a simple graphic or element.Giulia Giannini McGauran (GG McG) is a 2x ARIA award nominated creative director and photographer.
