Grace Lee hails from Sydney’s West and studied visual communications at UTS. She worked in various design positions before deciding to relocate to Japan in 2009. In Tokyo, Grace began to experiment with line etching and built a portfolio that spoke louder than her Japanese. She devoted herself to freelance illustration and found her work evolved to incorporate inanimate objects, imaginary cats, handcrafted masks and local shopfronts. Grace loves using Copic markers and adjusting colours in Photoshop. Her proudest moment last year was creating a talking dog as part of Radio With Pictures for the Sydney Graphic Festival.
